Chinese restaurants in the United States range from steam-table lunch counters to white-tablecloth Cantonese seafood halls, and most fall somewhere in between: a laminated menu, a lunch special board, and combo plates priced a few dollars below the dinner menu. Ordering by number off the menu is normal and speeds things up, especially at takeout counters. Family-style ordering, where a table shares several dishes with rice rather than each person getting an individual entree, is standard at sit-down spots and usually cheaper per person. Many neighborhood restaurants are cash-preferred or charge a small card fee, so it is worth asking or checking the door before you order. Delivery apps cover most areas, but calling the restaurant directly is often faster and avoids the markup.
Hours are published for 6 days a week. On most of those days it is open 11 am–9 pm. Note that it does not open on Wednesday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (909) 796-1080. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, jiashouse.com.
On Google it holds a rating of 4.8 out of 5 from 121 reviews, which is a strong result for a chinese restaurant in Loma Linda and suggests consistent service.
Loma Linda is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Loma Linda follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

First time here. Being Chinese I was excited to try a new lunch spot. First thing I was told is that as of this week they no longer offer their mini bowls and do not have any specials. Everything is dinner prices. Bummer. I told them they might want to change their branding since their uniforms, indoor signage, menus, tv monitor menus all say “Mini bowl express” and they no longer offer mini bowls. Their tv monitor still shows their old menu pricing which is great but they no longer offer. Anyway, I order, sit down at a table and they bring the food out fairly quickly. At that point I have to ask for a plate and silverware. The food is decent for the IE and portion sizes are generous. Slightly better than Panda Express. After I finish eating and am asking for the check the lady asks for the first time if I would like some water to drink. Based on my experience I most likely won’t visit again and will travel further to Red Chili or Rui’s where the food is better and they have lunch specials.

I’ve tried this place a few times now and service and food are always excellent! The fried fish with chilis is spicy and delicious, piggy bean paste and custard buns also. Gyoza tastes fresh and they always give a big serving of rice!

The photos were taken after we took some bites already because the dishes smell so good and are hard to resist! Give this restaurant a try if you are in the area. It’s a great addition to the local Chinese food options. What I appreciate the most is that the chef doesn’t over spice. You can taste the fresh ingredients in each dish. The premise is also kept clean and neat. It was definitely a pleasant experience having our family lunch there on a Saturday.
